Gaming products often struggle with a gap between gameplay activity and the data needed to power engagement. Player actions may happen in real time, but if the system cannot capture and process them instantly, the experience becomes slow, disconnected, and hard to scale.

The challenge was to build a platform that could understand live game events, sync data across services, and support both user-facing features and internal analytics. That required a stack capable of handling WebSockets, event streams, cached state, real-time dashboards, and reliable deployment at scale.

BUILT FOR REAL GAMING SESSIONS

The solution was implemented around real-time behavior: detecting gameplay events, syncing player actions, and updating stats with minimal delay. Overwolf provided the desktop layer for in-game interaction, while the backend services handled application logic, data persistence, and event processing.

The architecture was structured to support high-volume activity and growing concurrency. WebSocket communication handled live interaction, Kafka managed event flow, Pinot supported low-latency analytics, Redis accelerated session and state access, and Kubernetes with Docker enabled scalable deployment and operational flexibility.
